πŸ’° Money Changers

The Ancient Hand – Those Who Have Always Owned the Briefcase

Constitutional Archetype Β· Deep Analysis

Who They Are

The Money Changers are the hidden layer beneath Briefcase Man. They never hold visible power; they never sit on thrones or stand at podiums. They hold the debt. They control the money supply, the terms of credit, the flow of capital. They are the temple administrators of ancient times, the merchant bankers of the Renaissance, the IMF and private equity partners of today. They are the ones who have always owned the briefcase – Briefcase Man is merely their agent.

How They Operate

  • Debt Creation: They lend money that cannot be repaid, creating permanent dependency.
  • Gatekeeping: They control who gets capital, and on what terms. No one builds without their permission.
  • Artificial Scarcity: They create scarcity where none naturally exists, driving up the value of what they control.
  • Information Asymmetry: They keep financial knowledge obscure. Only they understand the true terms.

Why Protogony Makes Them Irrelevant

Protogony builds systems that do not rely on debt. Time credits, mutual aid, transparent caps, and community ownership all bypass the Money Changers’ gate. When communities control their own value, the Money Changers have nothing to lend against. Their briefcase becomes empty.
